OUR ACCREDITATION PROCESS EXISTS ABOVE REPROACH:
- For a clear separation of power, we follow an independent accreditation model. The Independent Accreditation Commission has final approval or denial authority. This committee is held to the highest of ethical, academic, legal, and Christian standards. No person, under almost any circumstance, may serve on this committee without extensive years of ministry experience and/or a Master’s Degree or higher. Their process is above reproach, and they must sign both conflict of interest and confidentiality (NDA) agreements.
The Accrediting Process follows a structured and impartial set of guidelines that extends the same opportunities to every biblical studies applicant seeking accreditation. Applicants seeking accreditation range in every school size and type, from Established Institutions to Christian Church Education Programs to Religious, Curriculum-Driven Master Classes. If you are not structured properly, we help you get there!
Site-Visits:
Site-Visits are at the sole discretion of the review committee. We may opt to delay and accept facility images, video interviews, etc. When a site-visit does take place, the applying institution is responsible for all travel and associated expenses.
FAQ
Is there a set minimum for student enrollment? No, we consider schools of all sizes.
What if your school is already established and accredited by another agency? Can you still apply for BASE Accreditation? Yes, you can.
Does the school have to be brick-and-mortar, or can it be an Online Campus? Both physical and online campuses may apply.
Can the application fee or the approval fee be waived? No. One demonstration of an educational program’s financial solvency is that the modest accreditation fee is not a burden. Other agencies charge much more.
Does BASE seek to determine what your tuition rates should be? No, absolutely not.
What is BASE’s Policy on Honorary Degrees? That a BASE Accredited Institution confers only one Honorary Doctorate Degree for every ten fully enrolled students. Only ten Honorary Degrees for every one hundred enrolled students, etc. This places the emphasis of the Program on Education.
